The Extractigator is a high quality hand tool for the easy removal of woody invasive plants, such as Gorse, Woolly Nightshade, Broom, Privet, Barberry and many more…
With the Extractigator, you can remove woody trees up to 5cm diameter easily - by hand, with minimal soil disturbance - ROOTS AND ALL!
The Extractigator uses a unique lever system that uses the operator’s weight (not strength) to uproot the plant. When you lift the Extractigator up, it automatically opens its jaw, ready to wrap around and pull out the next tree, meaning you don’t need to get down to ground level and can operate without bending over. The user simply pushes down on the handle, and the tree is pulled out, roots and all.
The “ratcheting” design allows for a quick double grip of those long rooted trees or broom.
Quality, Handmade Tools
The Extractigators are handmade in Canada by the inventor Shawn Taylor.
With few wearing components, the Extractigator is built to last a lifetime.
Constructed entirely of high quality steel with large Grade 8 high tensile bolts for pins, designed for years of continuous use.
Resists Sinking
The wide surface foot displaces energy over a large ground surface, making the Extractigator resistant to sinking in areas of soft ground. For sandy, rocky or super soft soils, see “BigFoot Attachment”.

Extractigators NZ
Hi ! I'm Emma. A few years ago I moved with my family moved to a beautiful piece of land on the Coromandel, covered with every invasive weed possible, including Gorse, Woolly nightshade, Barberry, Wattle, Blackberry and more. In our search to find an effective and non toxic solution to clear out the weeds, we discovered "The Extractigator" invented by Shawn Taylor in BC Canada. After one day of using it, we'd cleared a small field of gorse, roots and all, with minimal soil disturbance. I realised we had to bring these down under for others to use! For the past 5 years, customers around NZ and Australia have been reporting back with great reviews, enjoying the simplicity and effectiveness of the tools. Please contact me with any questions, I'm happy to help. We can ship anywhere in NZ or Australia.
